Visiting a different country is something that every child should experience at least once. This enables them to immerse themselves in a culture different from their own, and in the process increase their knowledge. Aside from having fun, they can hopefully gain a better understanding of life in general. Europe is a popular destination for Americans, for the obvious and not-so-obvious reasons. If you are looking at a Europe trip for your family, here are some ideas (grouped by country) that would make the trip fun and enriching at the same time.

England
England is a must for a European trip. Not only is it the country of origin of the first Americans, but it also presents so many other opportunities. London has a lot of museums that will prove to be an excellent educational experience, and many of them are for free. Take your children to Dickens World Amusement Park and let them experience his stories in real life. They say you haven’t visited a real toy store until you’ve gone to Hamleys Toy Store in London, so make sure you drop by.

France
While France may seem more suitable for adults and lovers, it really is a must for your children as well. They have numerous theme parks in the country; you only have to take your pick. Take your children on a vineyard tour and let them experience the countryside. And don’t forget a visit to the Louvre, which will be an unforgettable experience for everyone.

Italy
Treat your children to authentic Italian spaghetti and other dishes that have become part of modern American cuisine. Take them to the ancient sites like The Colosseum and the Vatican.

Germany
Who didn’t grow up on fairy tales? Your children will surely be beside themselves with excitement at the German Fairy Tale Museum in Bad Oyenhausen. You can also visit the world famous Nuremberg Toy Museum and feast your eyes on toys.
