The city of Milan is known for many things, and high end shopping is one of them. If you have the cash, then head on over to the four streets which offer only the best: Quadrilatero d’Oro (Golden Quadrilateral): Via Montenapoleone, Della Spiga, Via Borgospesso, and Via Sant’Andrea. These four streets are adjacent to each other, making your shopping experience easy. You can find them at the north of the Duomo. In these streets, you will certainly be dazzled by the wide array of high end goods – from clothing to shoes to accessories. There are countless shops to be visited, and you might use up a day – even more – just window shopping!

You can also go to Via Montenapoleone and Via della Spiga. These two areas are rife with the most elegant boutiques and other fashion outlets. Rest assured that you will not find these areas lacking for choices.

For a wider assortment of goods, you can go to Corso Buenos Aires. This stretch boasts of a lot of bargain shopping. You can find almost anything here – from handmade dresses and shirts to CDs.

Of course, your shopping spree in Milan cannot be complete without a visit to the markets. The largest street market in the city is the one on Via Papiniano. This market is held every Tuesday from 8 am to 1 pm and every Saturday from 9 am to 7:30 pm. You can normally find basic goods in this market and you might even find secondhand designer goods. Another must visit is the flea market on Via Fiori Chiari, which is held every Saturday of the month (except for August) from 9 am to 7:30 pm.
