I'm travelling to Bilbao from the UK. Are there any good beaches in Bilbao? Where would you recommend to visit in the region?

Beach umbrellas and chairs are usually hired on a daily basis. Just find a spot on the beach where you want to spend the day and pay for the daily hire. Unfortunately, you won't be able to pre-book a chair or umbrella. Have fun in Spain!

Try and make sure that you are staying in San Sebastian when the fireworks festival or the international fireworks competition is on. The whole week when the festival is being held is called Semana Grande (Aste Nagusia) or Great Week. There are many things to see and do including festivals, bullfighting, theatre and street parades. This is the best time to visit San Sebastian.
