Ljubljana's Dragon Bridge (Zmajski Most) is a great example of the Art Nouveau architecture in Ljubljana
Ljubljana is the capital city of the country of Slovenia. It is one of the most interesting cities in Central Europe, offering a multifaceted experience. The time of your visit to Ljubljana will determine the kind of experience that awaits you. During the winter, the city will charm you with its distinct Central European character. During the summer, the city feels more like the laidback Mediterranean.
Visitors to Ljubljana will wonder at the breadth and depth of cultural and art activities to be experienced. There is a saying that the inhabitants of the city do not only love art and culture, but that they LIVE and breathe these as well. As such, you can feast your eyes and souls in the countless museums, theaters, and galleries in the city. The National Museum is a must visit.
The Dragon Bridge (Zmajski Most) is the city’s most famous landmark, and no visit to Ljubljana is complete without seeing it. The bridge also holds the distinction of being the first bridge in the world to be built with reinforced concrete.
Ljubljana Castle is another destination that many tourists flock to. The castle boasts of various works of art – the viewing of which is free. I suggest going up to the tower for the best view. This will cost you a small fee.
Shopping is of course a must do if you pay Ljubljana a visit. One of the most popular destinations is the Antique Flea Market, which is held at the Cankarjevo nabrežje embankment. This market is open on Sundays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Designer clothing – both international and local – can also be found in the city.
End your days in Ljubljana with an excellent meal and good wine in one of the countless restaurants in and around the city.

Ljubljana sounds like a great place to visit. I would love to see the castle.
Ljubljana has to be the most adorable European capital city. Be sure to eat some gelato and spend some time wandering down by the river in the evening, it’s incredibly pleasant.
