Tuscany is perhaps one of the most famous areas in all of Italy. Movies such as Under the Tuscan Sun and Under the Tuscan Sky have definitely contributed to this popularity. As such, a lot of visitors to the country make it a point to spend some time in Tuscany.

Tuscany is a very picturesque region, and the landscape alone is worth a visit. However, museums and churches are perhaps the best things to see in this area. There are a lot of museums to see across the region, all of them offering only the most popular and the most significant works of art. Accademia Gallery for example, houses Michelangelo’s David. The Uffizi Gallery is considered to be among the best in the world and is home to the most significant works of art in the Renaissance period. Other top museums are the Bargello Museum and the Pitti Palace.

More than viewing art, engaging in nature-related activities is also one of the attractions of Tuscany. Rambling around the hills and mountains of the region will certainly get your blood going.

Biking is another popular way to discover the area. In fact, Tuscany is known to be the land of cyclists. You can actually discover the whole area by bike and do not be surprised if you come across lots of other people who are doing the same thing!

Of course, a visit to Tuscany will not be complete without food and wine. This region is well known for its specialty dishes and you can take home the knowledge of making Tuscan food if you take part in one of the many cooking classes offered here. Oh, don’t forget to pair your dish with excellent Chianti wine!

Indeed, Tuscany may very well be the place where you find what you’ve been seeking all this time.
